Stats that hit different.
We're a small team of football obsessives who got tired of staring at spreadsheets when all we wanted was to feel the data.
Why we built this
We grew up arguing over football stats at lunch breaks, poring over xG charts at 2 a.m., and wishing someone would make the data actually tell a story. Every platform we found gave us tables, numbers, and CSV exports — useful, sure, but soulless.
Nobody was doing what we wanted: taking raw match data and turning it into something you feel— shot maps that show a striker's season arc, heatmaps that reveal a midfielder's engine, pass networks that expose a team's DNA. The kind of visuals that end debates in group chats and make your mates go “where did you find that?”
So we decided to build it ourselves. FlickStat pulls data from multiple professional sources, stitches it together through a custom enrichment pipeline, and presents it through interactive visualisations designed for mobile-first consumption. No paywalls, no clutter — just beautiful football data storytelling.
We're three university students who care way too much about both football and clean UI. This started as a passion project and it still is one. Every pixel, every data point, every animation is crafted by us.
The team
Mohammed Azeem
Co-Founder & Product Lead
The football nerd who's obsessed with every detail of the game and every decision that shapes the product. Believes stats should spark joy, not just fill tables. Probably rethinking a card layout right now.
Arnav Gupta
Co-Founder & Backend Engineer
Carries the entire backend on his shoulders — data pipelines, scraper infrastructure, the lot. Makes sure every stat reaches the frontend in one piece. If a number is wrong, he takes it personally.
Vedant Narang
Co-Founder & Frontend Engineer
Turns data and designs into the interactive experience you see on screen. Responsible for making shot maps feel smooth and heatmaps look gorgeous on any device.
Data accuracy
We aggregate data from Transfermarkt, WhoScored, Understat, and TheSportsDB through automated pipelines with multiple validation layers. But football data is messy — name mismatches, late corrections, and source disagreements happen.
If you spot anything that looks off — a wrong stat, a misattributed goal, or a missing player photo — we genuinely want to hear about it. Every correction makes FlickStat better for everyone.
